The 280,000 sq ft scheme was undertaken in partnership with Kirklees Council, who maintain a minority equity position within the owning company.

Kingsgate fast became the central focus of Huddersfield's retail and is now the prime location in town.

Retailers include House of Fraser, Next, TK Maxx, River Island, Wallis, Miss Selfridge, HMV, Jane Norman and many more.

WD's principal shareholders are the majority shareholders in Kingsgate.
